EASYEDETAILING-LITE GUIDE

Pharma Visual Aid, LBL and Reminder Card: What Is the Difference?

Understand pharma visual aids, Leave Behind Literature and reminder cards, and how existing approved files fit an Android digital detailing workflow.

Three materials with different jobs

Pharma teams may use visual aid, detail aid, sales aid, LBL and reminder card in everyday conversation. The terminology varies between organizations. A useful starting point is the job of the material: does it guide a live discussion, provide a reference after the visit, or briefly reinforce an approved message?

Choosing the right format begins with that purpose. Putting every keyword on the same file does not make it suitable for every stage of a doctor conversation.

What is a pharma visual aid?

A visual aid supports the representative's live product discussion. It can be a printed presentation or prepared digital pages shown on a tablet. A detail aid or sales aid may describe a similar presentation role, depending on the company's terminology.

A digital visual aid app helps store, organize and show those existing pages. In EasyEDetailing-Lite, the workflow includes PDF, PPTX and image import, projects, categories, page navigation and doctor-specific page selection. Read the digital visual aid guide for the presentation workflow.

What does LBL mean in pharma?

LBL commonly means Leave Behind Literature. Its purpose is to remain as reference material after a discussion, where company policy permits distribution. The format may be a leaflet, card or another approved piece. It is different from a sequence of visual-aid pages used to guide the conversation.

Showing an LBL file on a screen does not automatically deliver it to the doctor. Distribution, sharing permissions and version control need a separate approved process. Lite should not be described as an LBL design tool or an automatic literature-distribution system.

What is a pharma reminder card?

A reminder card is usually a compact piece intended to reinforce selected approved information. A digital reminder card describes an electronic version of such material; it does not automatically imply interactive widgets, notifications or a dedicated card generator.

If an approved card already exists as a supported image or PDF, it can be prepared for display like other imported content. That is a presentation use case, not a claim that Lite creates reminder cards or authors their medical content.

Compare the purpose before choosing the format

Typical roles in a pharma product discussion

LBLProvide a reference after the callIs this version approved for the intended distribution?

Digital versus printed visual aids

Printed pages have no battery or screen dependency. Digital pages can be organized in projects and categories and selected for a particular doctor. Tablet use also needs preparation: sufficient storage, a charged battery, legible artwork and files tested on the device.

Prepared local presentations can support visits with unreliable connectivity. Account and licence actions still have online requirements. See the offline guide before planning field use.

Prepare approved files for Lite

  1. Confirm the content owner has approved the current version and intended use.
  2. Keep original source files separately and export a supported PDF, PPTX or image.
  3. Import a small sample and inspect charts, references and small text on the tablet.
  4. Name pages clearly and organize relevant brands into categories.
  5. Select relevant pages for each doctor and test the presentation before the visit.

For file-specific preparation, use the import guide. For the complete setup sequence, follow the Android e-detailing workflow.

What Lite does and what it does not claim

EasyEDetailing-Lite focuses on digital visual-aid presentation. It does not turn an imported page into an approved claim, generate an LBL or reminder card, or provide a standalone widget application. Choose the tool for its supported workflow and use your organization's approval process for content.
